Zeynep Eşin’s story collection Labirent, Kedi ve Kumrular (The Labyrinth, the Cat and the Doves) has been published under the Alakarga Yayınları imprint.
Labirent, Kedi ve Kumrular brings together six stories by Zeynep Eşin. They are stories rich in association and in empathy with the reader, in which those living through early youth will find traces of their own lives. Zeynep Eşin places her own impressions and dream world between the stories and reality, and the result is a fantastical world of language that interprets our own…
“The sullen man who kept the gate had warned, ‘Do not enter the labyrinth unless you are ready to risk everything, even your life.’ I had paid no heed to his warning. Weighing the painful helplessness of my daily life against the dream of reaching the centre of the labyrinth and seizing its coveted treasure, the risk had seemed small, distant and unreal to me. ”
