CSO Ada Ankara, the capital’s island of culture and the arts, brings theatre lovers the magic of the stage in the new year. As part of “Tiyatro Günleri” (Theatre Days), running from January through to June, a wide repertoire stretching from beloved classics of Turkish theatre to contemporary productions will meet audiences. Staged in the Bankkart Mavi Salon, the plays will make a strong contribution to Ankara’s cultural calendar.
With a distinguished programme ranging from musicals to romantic comedy and from classic adaptations to thrillers, Theatre Days will appeal to theatre lovers of all ages. With strong casts and a variety of storytelling styles, the plays staged throughout the season aim to give arts lovers an unforgettable theatre experience.
7 KOCALI HÜRMÜZ
10 JANUARY, 31 JANUARY, 15 MARCH 2026, 20:00 – BANKKART MAVİ SALON
One of the best-loved classics of Turkish theatre, “7 Kocalı Hürmüz” (Hürmüz with Seven Husbands) continues its run on the CSO Ada Ankara stage from 10 January until June. Set in Taşkasap, Istanbul, in the late 1800s, the play stars Begüm Topçu, Turay Cantüğ Turay and Ali Dalkılıç. With a cast of 25, plus songs and dances, “7 Kocalı Hürmüz” will delight audiences with its humour-filled storytelling.

FOSFORLU CEVRİYE – THE PLAY

“Fosforlu Cevriye”, one of the unforgettable characters of Republican-era literature, comes to life on stage once again. The story of Cevriye, the free spirit of the streets, clinging to an impossible love, and her struggle for survival, tested by prison and exile, will take audiences on a deep inner journey. With its powerful performances, “Fosforlu Cevriye” will offer audiences a theatre experience that is both nostalgic and moving on the CSO Ada Ankara stage from 11 January until May.

NEREYE GİDİYORSUN

The play “Nereye Gidiyorsun” (Where Are You Going) continues its run on the CSO Ada Ankara stage from 18 January until June. It brings to the stage the surprises life springs on us at unexpected moments, and the love to be found within them. Beginning when the paths of two characters who are complete opposites, with nothing in common, unexpectedly cross, the story offers audiences moments that are both entertaining and thought-provoking.

The play “Hisseli Harikalar Kumpanyası” (The Shareholders’ Company of Wonders) will be staged in the Bankkart Mavi Salon on Sunday 25 January 2026 at 19.00, and continues its run on the CSO Ada Ankara stage until June. Through the colourful characters of a travelling theatre company touring Anatolia, the play takes a humorous look at the hardships of the performing arts and the experiences of performers. As the company’s owner battles financial hardship in an effort to keep the theatre afloat, romances and rivalries over the stage play out among the actors.

KÜÇÜK BİR AŞK MASALI

The romantic comedy “Küçük Bir Aşk Masalı” (A Little Love Story) meets theatre lovers in the Bankkart Mavi Salon on 15 February 2026 at 20.00. The play centres on the story of a man and a woman who are in love with each other, yet just as stubborn. Beginning with their first meeting, the story is told through a structure that moves between past, present and future. In this two-act production, audiences will be drawn into the flow of the play and become an active part of the story.
Taking a humorous look at relationships between men and women, “Küçük Bir Aşk Masalı” brings familiar situations from everyday life to the stage and offers audiences a warm, intimate atmosphere. Combining the elements of romantic comedy with sharp dialogue, the play adopts a style in which audiences of all ages can find something of themselves.

CERRAH
6 MARCH 2026, 20:30 – BANKKART MAVİ SALON
The thriller “Cerrah” (The Surgeon) will be staged in the Bankkart Mavi Salon on 6 March 2026 at 20.30, with a further performance at CSO Ada Ankara on 27 June 2026. A serial killer known by the code name “Cerrah”, who has evaded capture for a long time, spreads terror across the city. Despite all their investigations, the police cannot find a single concrete piece of evidence to catch the killer. So the security services decide to step outside the usual methods and try a different strategy.
To this end, a small, special team working under the strictest secrecy is formed. The team wages an intense race against time to catch the Surgeon. Time is running out, and it is only a matter of moments before the killer strikes again. With its fast-paced, high-tension scenes, “Cerrah” keeps audiences on the edge of their seats from start to finish. Built around the theme of a race against the clock, the play offers a breathless theatre experience.
