The healing power of art meets children’s right to food. All proceeds from the comedy “Tatlı Tuzlu” (Sweet and Salty), staged by Öteki Beriki Tiyatro Topluluğu, will go to the Acil İhtiyaç Projesi Foundation’s “Beslenme Her Çocuğun Hakkı” (Nutrition Is Every Child’s Right) project, covering a year’s worth of food for hundreds of children.
The Acil İhtiyaç Projesi Foundation (AİP) and Öteki Beriki Tiyatro Topluluğu (ÖBTT) are joining forces on a meaningful project that brings art and social responsibility together to fight child poverty in Turkey. All proceeds from the play “Tatlı Tuzlu”, to be staged at the İş Sanat Cultural Centre on 13 December 2025, will be donated to the AİP Foundation’s “Nutrition Is Every Child’s Right” project.
All theatre lovers and kindness volunteers are invited to this special evening to support both the arts and the future.
One Ticket Becomes a Child’s Future
The project aims to deliver regular food parcels for a full year to children who cannot eat properly because of poverty and disadvantaged circumstances, and to draw attention to the problem of hunger in Turkey. By buying a ticket for “Tatlı Tuzlu”, theatregoers will enjoy an evening full of laughter while contributing directly to a child’s healthy development and future.
Facing the Truth Through Laughter: “Tatlı Tuzlu”
Written by Mine Artu, author of box-office record-breaking plays, the one-act comedy “Tatlı Tuzlu” invites audiences to a confrontation full of laughter. The tragicomic marriage of Seval, who fills her emotional void with shopping, and Rıdvan, an insatiable philanderer who seeks the meaning of life in food, offers moments that audiences will recognise from their own lives. Gently satirising the impasses of relationships and the insatiability of modern times, the play promises an unforgettable night at the theatre.
